Dear Resident, Police are releasing images of jewellery items stolen during a burglary in Welwyn. At around 6.20pm on Thursday 22 January, a home was broken into on Oakhill Drive. Cash, personal items and several pieces of jewellery were reported as stolen. Investigator Fran Aylin, from the North Herts Criminal Investigation Department, said: “We are releasing images of these items in the hope that we can trace them and return them to their rightful owners. “Have you seen the items discarded anywhere or offered for sale? “I would also like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and noticed anything suspicious. “Also, please remember that it is a good idea to take photos of your valuable items in the unlikely chance they get stolen, as it could help us find them.” You can report information online at herts.police.uk/report, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat at herts.police.uk/contact or call the non-emergency number 101, quoting 41/6821/26. Alternatively, you can stay 100% anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.
